One address reaches us, and a person reads it. This is a Chicago nonprofit. Our programs start in North Lawndale, one of the 77 community areas.
What to write about
Volunteer
Help at a table
Sign neighbors up, hand out coats, or help set up on the day.
Partners
Work with us
You work on community development in Chicago and think there is something to talk about.
Corrections
Something is wrong
We would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
Donations
Donations are coming soon, after state charity registration. Illinois asks a charity to register with the Attorney General before it asks the public for gifts, and we are doing that first. Until then this site does not ask for money.
Our status
The IRS has recognized Chicago Urban Honor Syndicate as a 501(c)(3) organization and classified it as a public charity. We received the determination in October 2026.
