What to write about
Tell us if you want to be told when our determination lands. Tell us if you work on community development in Chicago and think there is something to talk about. Tell us if something on this site is wrong — we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
What we cannot do yet
We cannot accept donations, and we are not asking for any. Our 501(c)(3) determination is pending, and until it is issued we will not invite a gift that someone might reasonably expect to deduct.
Our current status
Chicago Urban Honor Syndicate has applied to the IRS for recognition as a 501(c)(3) organization. The application was filed on September 21, 2026 and a determination is pending. Until the IRS issues that determination we are not soliciting donations and we make no claim that gifts are tax-deductible.
